Owner Specializations

Over the years, certain FADUCO owners have shown a knack for picking talent at certain positions. For whatever reason, they've usually ended up finding great value with really good performers in a specific roster position. I'm not talking about being able to draft with your first round pick, but more on identifying value picks in later rounds or in free agency. They would be getting credit for picking keeper-worthy players, though they may not have started their studs initially  (looking at Tuna and Donny for benching Fuller and Watson this week, but they do get credit for getting the players in the first place). Let's see some league history here:

QB:
Newer members may not know her, but Katy (or her shadow GM husband) was an Eagles homer and always would pick the Eagles QB. This was during the McNabb and Vick era, so they carried her to a couple championships (sorry, link only goes up to 2008, she won another one in 2010 with Vick). Her first championship was from judiciously selecting an up-and-coming 3rd-year QB by the name of Peyton Manning. Yeah, we's old folk. I would bet all my fantasy winnings that if she was still around, she'd be the owner of Carson Wentz.

In the current iteration of FADUCO post-2013, in terms of getting QB bargains, I guess we'd have to go with Donny for drafting Matt Ryan in 2016 and picking up Deshaun Watson in 2017 before he became DESHAUN WATSON.

RB:
Kevin comes to my mind for hitting the bulls eye when it comes to stud RBs. I remember in 2008 he picked in the middle round a rookie named Chris Johnson. You'll laugh at some of these earlier round picks:

Kevin also picked up Jaamal Charles in his breakout year in 2009.

More recently, some of Kevin's hits:

Shady McCoy in 2016, after McCoy's underwhelming first year Buffalo. Three other teams had passed on McCoy and drafted busts instead.

Le'Veon Bell in the 2014 3rd Round when the league reset so there were no keepers.  That was near the bottom of the round, there were like 5 RB busts before that and only 2 other RBs outscored him for that season

WR:
Tuna is the undisputed champion of picking WRs. Going back to 2007, he drafted in the 4th round (we had 4 keepers, so that was like an 8th round pick) an iffy Randy Moss who was going to a new team not previously known for their aerial attack. We now know about those 2007 Patriots. Tuna drafted Antonio Brown in the 4th round of the 2014 reset year, 9 other WRs were selected before that pick.  Also, he picked up ODB as a rookie free agent, which is great foresight even accounting for Tuna as a Giants fan. This year, the Will Fuller pick is looking strong, especially after yesterday's performance.

TE:
I'm the worst at picking TEs, my last good pick was all the way back in 2000 (non-keeper league back then) when I spent a 3rd round on Tony Gonzalez. So I don't pay much attention to TEs you see. Maybe for value picks,  it's Hai, who obtained Jordan Reed in round 10 of 2014 and Tyler Eifert in round 8 in 2015.  If you can nominate someone else, let me know.

K:
Guess we'll go with Matt here, to honor his consistent early round Kickers. This is more of a consolation prize for his recent loss of Aaron Rodgers.

DST:
Victor has consistently thrived on either streaming DSTs or drafting quality DSTs in late rounds. In some years, he made the playoffs with little else but a stud QB and DST.  Since he usually picks DSTs in the late rounds, he usually never gets the "glamour" preseason DST. Sometimes, he hit pay dirt picking the Ravens (like Byron) in a good year, but other times, it's just a matter of streaming the right defense for the week. Case in point: 2013 championship year was helped by streaming the unheralded at the time Rams . This year, his faith in Wade Phillips has been rewarded with the #3 DST on a per points basis despite picking the Rams (again) up as a free agent.
