A bit past the halfway mark, the league has been very competitive in the standings, with 7 teams either 5-4 or 4-5, and only one 6-3 team. No one has pulled ahead to be the clear-cut favorite, though Byron does have a 5-game winning streak. To find out who has been the best player, I took the difference between the player's scoring average and the equivalent "scrub" replacement position whose ranking is in the neighborhood of readily available free agents.
So for example, a QB's average scoring versus the #20th ranked QB or a RB's average scoring vs. the #40th ranked RB. Here is the top 10 list, no surprises really. Even though the points are based on averages, the RBs listed have been generally healthy until you get to #9 (knock on wood). The top TEs and Defenses weren't as far apart as a bench player for that position, so streaming those positions is a viable strategy.

Also, a useful report I discovered this week has been using the "custom reports" in the Player Stats page. After you click on the custom reports link on the right side under "Quick Links", you can select detailed reports on Fantasy Points Allowed by Position. It's very nice to see average points scored when playing against a specific team, and you can use the information to help in your other leagues as well.
For example, I need to choose Cole Beasley facing the Steelers and Kenny Britt facing the Jets. They both have averaged 8.8 points so far. Both ESPN and CBS have ranked Britt higher than Beasley, but the CBS scoring preview is projecting Beasley to score 7.2 points and Britt to score only 6.60 points. Not sure who to start, I look at the "Fantasy Points Allowed" reports. I see that WRs have scored a combined average of 18.5 points per game vs. the Steelers and 24.89 points per game vs. the Jets. For RBs, Steelers have given up 21.75 points/game and Jets only 16.78 points. Based on this, I'll choose Britt to start over Beasley, as it looks like Dallas will be running the ball a lot against the Steelers.
TL; DR version: Fantasy Points Allowed Report shows Steelers defense is worse versus the run than the pass, so I'll start the WR who is playing the Jets, not the one playing the Steelers.
Enjoy Veteran's day weekend, and for those of you distraught by the prospect of President Trump, just remember that it's only 4 years. By comparison, Tuna hasn't won a FADUCO championship in like 18 years.
