FADUCO Week 8 Rankings Part 2

Before we get on to the rest of the rankings, you may want to do this quiz that Kevin's wife pointed out on Facebook the other day:

What state in the US is the most compatible with your personality?

Based on my answers, it picked Montana for me. I'm going to move in next to the Unabomber. Hai is a closet Dookie (North Carolina) and Lily belongs to the Jersey Shore.

Now on to the rest of the league:

6. Lily
Goals:  For someone who came in second in the league last year, her keepers were pretty bad. Roddy White is a bust, and Arian Foster was inconsistent before getting injured in Week 7. Only Eric Decker has been a solid keeper, thanks to the Denver offense. Lily let go Phil Rivers, who's rejuvenated his career with the coaching change in San Diego. Lily's draft at least yielded a gem in Vincent Jackson, and RG3 is finally getting into shape, helping Lily score 80+ points two weeks in a row.

Rating: Partially Meets Requirements

Competency:  Lily in the first five weeks failed to take advantage of her #1 waiver wire priority to shore up her bench. In one week, she went overboard with picking up free agent WRs despite the lack of RBs on her bench and RG3 on bye. Worse she picked up the Raiders DST and dropped Ryan Matthews the same week Matthews became good. I blame this on Lily having to rely on Blackberry technology while the rest of the world goes iPhone or Android. As of today, she still is starting 3 inactives, so I don't think her 3-game winning streak is going to continue.

Rating: Does Not Meet Requirements

7. Bill
Goals:  Most have thought that Bill's keeper RBs would be solid for another year. However, their contribution have dramatically declined, and what was once an area of strength is now a significant weakness. This team has become too reliant on Drew Brees. Bill has won every game where Brees scored 17 points or more, and lost when he scored less. Bill's draft fell short in the running back department, as DeMarco Murray has disappointed the Cowboys organization. However, Desean Jackson has been brilliant, saving Bill's draft.

Rating: Does Not Meet Requirements

Competency: Bill has performed respectably managing his team, ranking 4th in efficiency. However, for whatever reason (Chinese firewall, inertia, cheapness), Bill has been relatively quiet on the waiver wire front. The trade for Gronk has yet to pay off, but Pierre Garcon wasn't pulling much weight either so that's a push. This team also is facing a pretty tough schedule going forward, five of Bill's remaining games are against the top 5 teams in the rankings.

 Rating: Partially Meets Requirements

8. Tuna
Goals: Tuna believed that he could draft a QB that would offset the trade of Rodgers for Shady McCoy. On paper, Matt Ryan has been solid, even with all the injuries to his receivers. So that's been a positive for Tuna's team. The rest of Tuna's draft has been dreadful. Only Vernon Davis has avoided the "Bust" label. Tuna's WR keeper Andre Johnson has had a disappointing season as well due to problems with the Houston QB position.

Rating: Partially Meet Requirements

Competency: Tuna has exacerbated his poor WR roster with untimely benchings. For example, the one week where Antonio Brown exploded for 25 points, he was sitting on Tuna's bench. Result is the 8th ranked efficiency in the league. Despite the volume of transactions, Tuna hasn't really found help in the WR or RB slot. Maybe the latest batch of pickups will help, but why did Tuna pick up Mike Glennon, the QB from the floundering Tampa Bay Buccaneers as the replacement for injured Cutler?

Rating: Does Not Meet Requirements

9. PJ
Goals: I think the main goal for PJ this year was to have a respectable season with as many Dolphins as possible, since he was too busy to research for fantasy football. Well, like the Dolphins season, this is slipping away from him after a promising start. Tom Brady has been a surprising bust, and AD isn't the same AD as from last year. The only bright spot among the keepers has been Reggie Bush.

Rating: Does Not Meet Requirements

Competency: PJ gets credit for trying, as he's still active with waiver wire pickups and setting his roster weekly. However, the bottom line is that he's ranked 9th in efficiency and have seen three straight weeks of sub-60 scores. The QB management has especially been ineffective.

Rating: Partially Meet Requirements

10. Katy
Goals: A turnaround seemed possible as this team jumped to a 3-1 start. Alas, injuries and lack of good draft picks other than Tony Romo have sabotaged the willpower of this team's management. Five of their first six picks have been busts due to injuries or poor play. Normally, a team can overcome somewhat a poor draft with solid keepers or good free agent moves. Katy has had neither.

Rating: Does Not Meet Requirements.

Competency: This team has only made ONE waiver wire move since the start of the season. That's fine if you have a solid and complete roster. It's not fine when by week 8, you are starting a running back who got released from his team, and you have the most player "injury icons" listed. It looks like this team subscribes to the Jacksonville Jaguars method of management.
