What is an "average" score?

I calculated the average number of points scored by the top 10/20 at each position (QB, TE, K, and DST for 10, RBs and WRs for 20). Then I added up to come up with your expected team score. At the mid-season, this is what constitutes an "average" performance by your starters:

QB:    16.6
RB:      9.0
WR:     8.6
TE:      6.5
K:        9.3
DST:  12.2
Total:  62.3

Thus, for example, one should be reasonably satisfied to see a RB score 9 points for them that week. That RB pulled his weight that week.

I also did 15/30 instead of 10/20 to account for byes. If I consider 15/30 instead of 10/20, the average total would have been 56.9 (ie. 57 points). So basically, impact of bye weeks lowers expected performance by about 4-5 points.

One can consider 62 points being therefore a "par" performance. Of course, players aren't distributed evenly in the league. Let's see how many times each team has exceeded this points total:

Bill: 7 (uh, yeah, he's pretty good this year)
Victor: 5
Kevin: 4
Donny: 3 (all 3 in last 3 games)
Tuna: 3 (plus 1 game at 62 for par)
Andrew: 3 (but zero in last 3 games)
PJ: 3
Lily: 2 (but 2 games at 62 for par)
Katy: 2 (plus 1 game at 62)
Hai: 0 (plus 1 game at 62)

Unfortunately, unlike golf, fantasy is more of a match-play case than a stroke play total points scored.
