Week 2 Power Rankings

Week 1 showed that it's now a QB league. If you don't have a good QB, you betcha gonna get screwed like a Michigan basketball star on a road trip in Alaska. On to the rankings

1. Andrew - That Brady to Welker 99 yard play gave Andrew 20 points. A decent pass defense gives up 225 yards a game. If you believe in the Law of Averages, or Regression to the Mean, or whatever fancy statistical term you use: San Diego gave up 38 last week, so the math works out to "only" 412 yards for Tom Brady.

2. Bill - I was going to rank Bill number one but then saw his WR lineup with Hakeem Nicks possibly out. Not Good. Also, MJD faces the Jets D and Drew Brees faces a good Chicago defense as well. But he's still the strong favorite vs. Kevin this week.

3. Donny - Will Flacco have another 20 point outing? Maybe, but I can't elevate Donny until he proves that he has a stud QB.

4. Tuna - Despite the loss to Andrew, the Rogers and Jennings show shall go on. Especially vs. the Panthers.

5. Katy - Mike Vick goes back to the ATL as a starter. Enough said. And if the Packers D allow Cam Newton to sniff 300 yards, I'm going to be very surprised.

6. Lily - I'm going on the assumption that Arian Foster will start and play. However, Houston looks to be in a RBBC mode right now. Phil Rivers will be in a shootout versus Tom Brady, so he'll be launching bombs all day.

7. Kevin - Yes, he won in week 1 but is relying on Kevin Kolb for the season after dumping Manning on PJ. Chris Johnson gets no break and has to face the Ravens Defense. I think Hai is going to poison me the next time I get invited over for dinner. I drafted Johnson for him in his other league.

8. Hai - Truthfully, Hai somewhat lucked out with that win in week 1. Had he faced any sane person, the Ravens defense would have been started over the Chargers. Things that could lead Hai to an upset over Katy - The Detroits D is for real, and no vacationing in Revis Island for Romo.

9. PJ - That must have been very painful to watch Monday night's game with your sister-in-law. My first NFL game with my brother-in-law, we watched the Broncos get drubbed by the Ravens. At least we were rooting for the same team and the Ravens' QB didn't drop 517 yards on the Broncos.

10. Victor - Get the lowest points, you go to the Cellar. That's the rule. However, for this week's version of the toilet bowl, my players are facing relatively soft defenses so the outlook is positive. Also, this week, I'm not overruling my Bloomber App's recommendation to start the Ravens (facing the Titans) over the Chargers (facing the Borg).

The Andrew love is sickening. Next thing you know, Vic will start rooting for Duke.
