FADUCO HATES ME!!!!

Frustrated yet again by another FADUCO scheduler screw-job, I went ahead and did a historical study of the Asian division since 2001. I got the average differential between the W-L record ranking and points / breakdown rankings of each Asian owner. Since CBS Sports has Power Rankings data from back in 2001, I have 9 and a half seasons worth of sample data for each Asian owner. In theory, over time, the difference between your win-loss ranking and your points or breakdown ranking should be close to zero.

In theory. The result: Katy's Win-Loss rankings are 1.75 better on average than her points and 1.15 better than her breakdown rankings should be. So yeah, just as many suspect, Katy is damn lucky. This is now backed up by hard data. Hai and Tuna are pretty close to zero, so their win-loss records properly reflect their points or breakdown. Donny's teams deserved about a half ranking better more than his actual win-loss ranking. As for me, it's worse than the opposite of Katy. I got a -1.75 and -1.8 differential in rankings. Essentially, I've been screwed by the scheduling gods by about a net of two games each year. FU Fantasy Gods!!!!

punk-ass katy. i'm sure if you just limit it to asian games, her differentials would be even more stark. also, you should weight 2010, your differntials were more like 1.33 going into this year, but point taken regardless. woe is vic guru...

That's what you get for having a whitey in your Asian bracket.

This is a victor-of-old type analysis. One based upon numbers & spreadsheets. One an engineer would be proud of...

don't expect more of this type of analysis from him though. it's only spurred by his -6 differential this year. ouch.

I get to eat swordfish on Friday.

The stats also clearly show Asians have also been the dominate division with all teams over the median record (5) except for Donny who's close at 4.95.

Victor glad to see your back. This harkens back to the type of analysis we used to see from Vic Guru on the blog. Kevin

Looking at this again, (if I'm interpreting it correctly) I think Tuna should be crying foul more than any other Asian. He is tied for first in record, second in points and break down but he has never won the Faduco Bowl. Kevin

Thanks for reminding me of that fact Kevin. I do agree that analytic Vic was much more successful in FF.

Tuna

nah, tuna got screwed in one year, otherwise he was 6-7, not good enough.
