Week 5 Power Rankings

Last Saturday, we held the Duong Golf invitational and my team came in dead last, mostly because I sucked in the back nine. As you can see in the FADUCO standings, I'm the only team without a W. I honestly was considering picking up the San Diego D last week but wanted to give the Saints one more chance, as they were facing a rookie QB. I fail at golf and fantasy football. Apparently, I need a new hobby.

However, partly out of obligation, and partly therapy, I'm still going to try to do the power rankings this week. Until I win, you can safely assume my team is occupying the #10 slot.

1. Kevin - Another achievement for Kevin: Has the largest margin of victory this season so far with the 82-35 drubbing over PJ. And Chris Johnson hasn't even been that great this year...

2. Lily - Bringing on the smack. Has the weapons to back it up, with Foster and all those WRs. For the record, Lily is the one with the draft/personal fantasy assistant, not me.

3. Hai - Gets to enjoy a prime ribeye steak, grilled medium with a blend of herbs and spices this week. The early favorite to win the Asian division now that Mike Vick is out of commission. However, week 5 is a tough one for Hai since his Steelers are on the bye.

4. Tuna - The best of the 2-2 teams. Has the best managerial rating and got some timely free agent pickups last week. Running backs are still not the greatest in quality, and with 7 of them in the roster, that efficiency ranking may dip.

5. Katy - While losing Vick is a big hit to Team Katy's playoff hopes, I think Kolb will be better with a week's worth of practice and prep. Ravens also usually stomp on the Broncos at home, so this week offers some hope for a win.

6. PJ - Yeah, as predictable as the plot of a Disney channel Hannah Montana episode (not that I know firsthand from experience). PJ declares his team's greatness and then the Dolphins promptly bend over to some Jamaican-Chinese dude. Asians hate his team!

7. Donny - Good trade of McCoy for Marshall, not like those fire sales of years past. Ryan Matthews now healthy again. QBs aren't very explosive, however. Will Donny repeat his win-lose-win-lose pattern this week?

8. Bill - Seems like only yesterday that the power rankings were led by the likes of Bill and Victor. Nowadays, Bill can't even crack the 70-point mark. This week's matchup vs. Victor is the T-BOW (as in Toilet Bowl Of the Week).

9. Andrew - Ah, but some things don't change much. Andrew occupying the bottom half of the rankings. Not a good week for Andrew to see Tom Brady lose his main big-play threat. Moss also basically gets a bye week this week since he'll be at Revis Island vs. the Jets. Not coincidentally, also, Kevin may break his record for margin of victory this week.

10. Victor - In years past, could always count on his QB and Defense to bail out weak RBs and WRs. So far, misjudgments in starting or picking up DSTs have been responsible for 3 losses. Too bad there is no defensive coordinator to scapegoat and fire.
