I subbed for Donny in his buddy's 12-team, 1-Keeper league. Most of the league consists of Montgomery County Parks cops. If some of these guys' drafting is any indication, I hope never to have to call the Five-O in a Montgomery park or golf course. One guy picked up 5 kickers. Another guy drafted Drew Brees while he had Peyton Manning as his keeper.
Donny opted to keep Tom Brady. He had the 11th position out of 12. His league has all kinds of crazy points, rewards big plays and even counts individual return yardage. I decided to go all-in with the Pats and drafted Randy Moss with my 1st pick. Which meant I had to bargain-hunt for RBs. I also targeted for most of my later round picks my WR/RB sleepers. Here is Donny's roster for his 12-team league:
Draft results and notes: (Round / Order)
/11: Passed (Kept QB Tom Brady)
/2: WR Randy Moss (Going to invest in Pats' aerial attack)
/11: RB Ronnie Brown (Highest-rated RB on board)
/2: RB Ryan Grant (Doesn't catch much, but at least should be the main RB in a non-RBBC team)
/11: WR Eddie Royal (League counts return yardage and big plays, good value here)
/2: RB Marshawn Lynch (incredible value for 6th round)
/11: WR Devin Hester (looks like these cops don't understand math given their scoring system)
/2: RB Ray Rice (I'm starting to draft for upside from this point on)
/11: TE Brent Celek (Most TEs gone by now)
/2: DST Bears (Time to fill out roster)
/11: RB Ahmad Bradshaw (Brandon Jacobs inevitably gets injured for a couple of games)
/2: QB Jake Delhomme (I'm screwed if Brady goes down again. Hope he doesn't throw 5 INTs vs Cards during Brady's bye week)
/11: WR Josh Morgan (He's the 49ers' #1 WR for now)
/2: WR Domenik Hixon (He's the Giants' #1 WR for now)
/11: DST Colts (Plays NFC West, Jets in Wk 16)
/2: K Matt Prater (kickers get bonus pts for 50+ yard FGs)
