Yeah, PJ crushed me this week. However, I had the most satisfying regular season win ever in my other league. I was down 28 pts before the Monday night game, to the defending champion (whose players had all played already). He proclaimed Monday morning that all he had to do was "take care of business" NEXT week and he'd see the division winners in the playoffs. This is the same guy who beat me in the final last year. Of course, you all know the ridiculous numbers Steve Slaton produced on Monday night and he gave me 30 points. Now the defending champion is 6-7 and with me at 7-6 and 70 points ahead of him, his season is over. Dagger! Moments like this make my love of fantasy football a bit too unhealthy.
I'm not assured of the wildcard spot, since "the best fantasy player " is also in that league and 7-6 as well. Thus, "the best fantasy player" can make the playoffs if he wins and I lose in week 14. But yeah, being proclaimed "the best fantasy player" (herein called TBFP) isn't a good thing when you lose to the high scorer that same week in FADUCO.
I may be a bit busy before Thursday, so I can't do a study of all the different permutations of playoff teams. However, you probably know that if Bill, Kevin, Katy, or Hai win their matchup, they're automatically in. The crucial game is Kevin vs. Katy. The loser may still get into the playoffs if both TBFP and Victor lose their game, or if the loser scores about 20 points or more than TBFP/Victor, regardless of whether the two win. PJ has an outside chance but he'll need to win and score a lot of points (don't know how much yet). Theoretically, we still can end up with one 9-5 team and 6 other teams at 8-6. But that's very remote. In related news, I think Bill, Kevin, Katy, and Hai are too smart and powerful for PJ/TBFP/Victor to catch up. They're going to be unstoppable in week 14 with their studly lineups.
