FADUCO Week 5 Power Rankings

During the weekend, I read this fascinating article online about the Ethiopian-Eriterian war during 1998-2000. For the 90% of you who don't know that Eritrea is a real country, it seceded and declared independence from Ethiopia in 1993. The article was about the air war during that conflict. What is interesting was that both were supplied with Russian Migs and Sukhoi fighter jets, as opposed to one side having Lockheed Martin F-16s or other western jets (free plug for Kevin's company) and one side having the Russian ones as in other modern wars. Both countries basically rebuilt their air forces a few years before the war. Russia provided Ethiopia with Su-27s while Eritrea received Mig-29s from Ukraine. Both sides had mercenary pilots and mechanics, with some of the foreigners switching sides during the conflict. How is this relevant to FADUCO you ask? Well, over the weekend, Donny got help at QB from Hai with his trade for Brett Favre. Victor, meanwhile, employed Yen as his running backs coach and started Larry Johnson. The result was a barrage of fantasy points, with Victor carpet-bombing the league and Donny airing it out to attain the second most points.

But another remarkable thing about the league this week - All but 2 teams are 2-2, and 3 games had margins of victory less than 6 points. If that's not parity, then I don't know what is. It also makes predicting games and ranking teams quite difficult. Since the rankings are therefore a bit random this week, I'm just going to turn them into an excuse to rank a topic I know more about and is completely badass - modern day fighter aircraft.
