Congratulations to the Caucasians

This Sunday was probably the best-ever day in the history of the league for the Caucasian division.

1. Andrew pulls off the huge upset, defeating Tuna despite negative points from Mr. Jessica Simpson. Best free-agent pickup of the season - Buccaneers Defense. 30 points! Tuna, like Bill last season, showed the dangers of over-reliance on a single team for fantasy - you may dominate the points, but you never know when that team will be the death of you.

2. Kevin comes back from behind against Victor, and the player to do that for him? Brian Westbrook - Kevin's favorite Eagle. A victory almost as sweet as his championship eons ago. Kevin's balanced team overcomes Derek Anderson's poor day. In the equivalent of the Prevent Defense, Victor sat out Anthony Gonzalez because Kevin had 2 Colts on his team, thereby making Victor believe that Gonzalez was a much riskier start. Still, Victor's flawed team of QB+Defense was exposed on this day. Kevin's overall balance makes him the slight favorite for the final.

3. I think PJ may have cried little tears of joy today. Hope he was there for the Dolphins' victory.

4. Bill got some renewed faith back from his beloved Eagles, who played an inspired game even though they are pretty much just spoilers now. One of the smartest real-life football play I ever saw was Westbrook intentionally going down at the 1 yard line instead of getting personal glory of a TD. That allowed Philly to run down the clock instead of handing the ball over to Dallas to try to repeat the Buffalo experience.

5. Larry, though I haven't tabulated the all-star points, I'm pretty sure that the Asians' QB, single RB, #1 and #2 WRs, TE, and Defense sucked this week. I'm not sure the combined points for QB+RB+Defense was over 10 points.

Good luck to both Andrew and Kevin in the finals. They've earned their spot in the finals, and I look forward to their happy hour in 2008.
