So far, we can put the teams in three tiers:
SILLY BAZILLY TIER: Tuna and Kevin
HUUURTING NUBBINS TIER: Larry and Donny
EVERYONE ELSE TIER: Everyone else
I'm quickly losing interest in FADUCO 2007 (an 0-6 start will do that) so the only thing to keep me engaged is doing these previews. I think they are a pain in the ass to do, so you guys better read every single damn word!
Bill (2-4) @ Vic (4-2): The good news for Bill is that his marquee players are waking up. LT was stupendous last week, MJD was rockin, and Brees was not terrible. I think Bill has a decent shot at the playoffs, but his ascent will have to begin next week at a record of 2-5. With LT on bye, Bill simply does not have the firepower to defeat Vic this week. Roddy White, Bernard Berrian, Owen Daniels and Ahman Green don't scare anyone. Victor should be encouraged by the progress of the KC offense. Looks like Huard is getting in a groove, which elevates the value of LJ and Bowe. The San Fran offense and Gore can only get better with Vernon Davis back from injury and Alex Smith's probable return next week. This week, I like Victor to win by a comfortable margin. 71-54
Hai (3-3) @ Katy (4-2): This contest should be close. The FADUCO Guru has Hai as the favorite, laying 3 points to Katy. I see it the other way around. With all the fantasy disappointments on Hai's squad, I can't see him pulling out a victory this week against Katy's mediocre team. Both teams are employing the run and gun, the problem for Hai is that his receivers aren't nearly as good as Katy's. TJ Housh and Plax lead the way for Katy in a narrow victory 65-62.
Andrew (4-2) @ Larry (0-6): Andrew has assembled himself a nice group of fantasy producers with Romo at QB, Willie Parker, Portis, and Jacobs at RB and Cooley at TE. The concern for Andrew is at wide receiver. And unfortunately for him, this is the year where you don't want to be weak at that position. Jerry Porter and Derrick Mason? Puke. I would take my chances with a less than 100% Harrison over either of those guys. New Management, you should think about trading Portis or Jacobs for a serviceable WR. Particularly, Portis. I guess he has been a decent #2 RB, but given Washington's offensive line woes, I think some tough games are in store for him. Larry's team sucks ass and he probably won't even read this. I think its time we consider replacing Larry next year for a more active owner. Other than that inexplicable draft swap with Bill this year, Larry hasn't made a free agent pickup or trade since 2005. All he's good for is a few zingers during the draft. Andrew wins handily 68-38.
PJ (3-3) @ Kevin (5-1): I am predicting PJ as high scorer of the week. PJ's Rbs are white hot, and though they don't have ideal matchups this week, I still think they'll get a bunch of points. Man, Adrian Peterson is the shit. I salivate when I watch his highlights. Bill, don't hate yourself, who knew he'd be this good. I always liked Ronnie Brown, but I wonder how the absence of Chambers will impact Miami's running game. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt this week as he gets at least one TD. TO will have a great game and the Chad is due to bust out. I like Kevin's team a good bit, but I don't think he has enough this week to beat PJ. Playing at Jacksonville is tough, so I don't expect huge games from either Addai (especially coming off injury) or Wayne. The Bears make a concerted effort to contain Westbrook, who is also coming off of injury. PJ takes it 89-72. PJ should use the $20 to buy Kevin's kid something. I would.
Me (0-6 ) @ Tuna (5-1): Tuna's Tom Brady is averaging a studly 25.3 points a game. As Victor previously reported, the cumulative point production of my QB position for this stupid season is a paltry 22 points. Tuna could probably beat me with just Brady and Moss. Tuna has the most impressive team in FADUCO, but there isn't much to talk about beyond his Patriot guys and I guess Gates. The rest of his starting lineup puts up consistent but unspectacular performances. I suppose thats all you need with his Patriots monopoly. Tuna wins 79-35.
Good luck donkeys!!!
