Faduco Week 10 Power Rankings

After week 10, FADUCO has shown to be a very competitive league. Only 2 teams have losing records, and one of them got the high score of the week. Teams that were on losing streaks ended up winning, while teams with winning streaks were halted in upsets. Still, it looks like there are 2 power teams who probably will make the playoffs. However, the fight for the other 2 spots looks very interesting with 6 contenders.

1. Victor (8-2). IF he beats Hai this coming week, the record book will have a new occupant for longest winning streak in a season. Probably the most complete set of starters in the league, with 6 positions occupied by "stud starters". However, depth at RB and WR has been recently disturbed with Glenn's injury and the continuing disappointment of Mike Bell.

2. Bill (6-4). Lost a heartbreaker to PJ despite scoring 110 points. Has a one-man wrecking crew with LT piling up those ridiculous TD totals. Is this team peaking too soon? Can LT sustain the pace? QB position may need to rely on judicious starting decisions, but WRs are picking up too. All of Bill's remaining games are against Asian teams, so schedule is not a gimmee. Big Week 13 battle vs. Victor. May gain an edge on Victor if he can trade with his farm team (Aka Andrew).

Big Gap Here

3. Hai (5-5). After a 2-5 start, on a 3-0 run where he scored over 70 points each time. Significantly upgraded his RB position from trade of Julius Jones for Edgerrin James. His QB is now lighting up the scoreboard, and won't have to endure inefficiencies at the TE spot with Gonzalez's injury. On the negative side, has probably the toughest schedule remaining with 1 game vs. Victor, 2 vs. Bill, and 1 vs. Andrew, (who's on a 2-0 streak himself after trading for Willie Parker).

4. Kevin (7-3). Like Bill, all his games are against Asians so his run of domination against fellow Caucasians is over. Unlike Bill, the games are against teams currently on the downswing. Kevin, somewhat like Dan Snyder, has been selling out his future to try and win now. And like the Danny and Tuna last year, these trades for Hasselbeck and James may come back to bite him. At least they have been offset by the emergence of Addai, and the continued dominance of Westbrook.

5. Andrew (5-5). The last time Andrew had 2 sure starting RBs, Britney Spears was still a young and innocent virgin singing to Mickey Mouse tunes. With Kitna and Pennington performing above expectations, and 2 reliable WRs in Ward and Harrison, Andrew has a solid starting set. If the Pittsburgh defense ever get their act together, Andrew will make a strong push for a playoff spot. Unless he makes another trade with Bill.

6. PJ (2-8) . What the heck is Victor smoking? Over Tuna, Donny, and Katy? Well, none of those 3 have scored over 70 points in 3 of the last 4 weaks. PJ has. None of those 3 have a compleat set of QB/RB/WRs. PJ does. Momentums means a lot in the rankings, and PJ has spades of them. True, his QBs can blow up good or bad, but McNair has benefeted from Bellick taking the playcalling rains and Grossman can light it up in curtain weeks. PJ has a good set of RBs and Wrs. Definately going tobe a spoiler in the last 4 weeks. And don't worry, I'm going to revert to proper spelling and grammer from now onwards.

7. Tuna (5-5). I can't rank any team without a #1 RB starter higher than 7. Sorry Tuna. You're saddled with 4 RBs who are questionable #2's. Not a good mix. Brees and WRs are pretty good, but this team will continually be hot and cold due to the roster composition.

8. Katy (6-4). It's odd to have a winning team at the #8 position, but it's a momentum thing. Has lost 3 straight and since week 5, has only gone over 60 points once. Problems at WR and defense have prevented Katy from the usual "If McNabb wins, I win" results of years past. However, has a very soft schedule, against teams with a combined 15-25 record. So it's very likely she'll rise in the rankings in the near future.

9. POD (5-5). Well, it looks like the Commish, Victor, and everyone not able to trade with Donny have to eat crow. Portis, Andre Johnson, and Darrell Jackson for 3 random but healthy players is not as inebriated a trade after Portis' injury. Without Portis, Jamal Lewis gets "upgraded" to #1 and so Donny's #2 RB situation will be pretty dire. Somehow, I think Hai can't justify rejecting any trade initiated by Donny at this point if it's a sincere one.

10. Larry (1-9). Has too many inconsistent players who let Larry down at the wrong week. But on paper, this team should not be 1-9, there's too much talent, just not clicking. Maybe can be a spoiler against Katy or Donny. Definitely not going to be drafting anyone on the Madden cover next year.

The odds are stacked against me making the playoffs with my 3 remaining games against the powerhouse teams. I only have a 10% chance of beating Victor or Bill as my breakdown record against them is 1-9 each. I predict the playoff teams will Vic, Bill, Kevin, and Katy.

i still hold that record and wins are better indications of success, and skill than power ranking.
However, you are correct i am "so enamored" with Vic Guru that I won't question his judgement.

Although i will be rooting hard for hai this week against vic to preserve my winning streak record. i hope j. jones comes through for you, but doesn't do well enough for dallas to win.

My record will be changed to 7-3 because the NFL has changed the ruling on the McNabb-Buckhalter touchdown. Will that change my power ranking?

Yes, Team Katy. You will now jump over Tuna into the #7 spot. Since the rankings are based on recent points output, I still cannot put you over PJ, despite the 2-8 vs. a 7-3 record gap. You still have a positive outlook on your future ranking climb.

Aahh, I see the logic in Kevin's trade now. Anything to help Kevin maintain the winning streak record. Kevin is becoming sneaky like an Asian. FYI Kevin, if Hai hadn't gotten Jones, I would have ranked him below you.
