This week's Free Agent Profile

Ok, so my recommendation last week didn't turn out so well. But one shouldn't expect a free agent running back to instantly deliver points in a week this late in the season. At this point, you're picking them for the long-term upside. Bear in mind that I think I only started Frank Gore once last year after picking him up as a free agent. Look where he is now. Yeah, in my bench this week, but that's against the Bears.

Anyway, for this week's free agent, this free agent has scored double digit points the last 3 weeks other than its bye week. Yeah, it. It is the New England Patriots defense. They face these offenses in the last part of the season: Jets, Bears, Detroit, Miami, Houston, and Jacksonville. In the crucial weeks 13-15, you have a relatively healthy NE defense up against the Lions, Dolphins, and Texans. They may have to sit on the bench the next 2 weeks (@Minn and vs. Indy), but the dividends at the end can be great for a team contending for the playoffs.

I am alive. Sorry about the first and 11. George has had surgery, then an infection from the surgery and then another stay at the animal hospital (he was touch and go for a while), and in general has been in poor health. Until he is back to normal, he still cant hold food or water down (I have to take him to the animal hospital to get fluids via an IV everyday, I wont be writing or in general paying much attention to emails or this blog. I will continue to make sure I have a proper line up or at least hope Kevin will pay attention for me.
