New Feature: Free Agent of the Week

Ok, I'm going to be very generous and spotlight a free agent who wasn't picked up on Wednesday waivers every week now. He could be of use to you in your other leagues, or in FADUCO. If you haven't noticed yet, my transactions have drastically decreased in volume this season so far, so I can afford to do this public service.

This week's free agent:

Najeh Davenport (RB, Pittsburgh)

Looks like the Steelers may have found the replacement to the Bus. ESPN has already given Davenport the best nickname of anyone this season: "The Dump Truck". That is such a fitting name on so many levels, if you know Davenport's history at "The U". He's the #2 RB behind Willie Parker, and may be worth some upside if he starts vulturing goal-line carries. The reason he's lost amongst the free agent RBs in the stats columns is that he didn't really play till week 5. So he's averaged 6.5 pts per week so far in this admittedly small sample window.

Can we trust the instincts of a football guru who drafted Mike Bell in the first round?

Thanks for the tip. I picked up Davenport.

I dunno. This is the same guy who picked up as free agents Marques Colston, Maurice Jones-Drew, and Denver defense. Also the same guy who swept Tuna in the regular season.

I believe in Vic.

what is the reason for your decreased transaction activity; lack of funds, or strategy?

Don't think anyone has received PJ's first and ten. After this week's drubbing, I'm not sure we'll see one soon.
