Monday morning apologies

I'm starting a column to apologize to various people about fantasy.

  • I apologize to Bill for grading Chester Taylor too low according to Bill. This may have made Bill devalue him enough to bench Taylor over a struggling McGahee facing a rejuvenated Pats defense. Sorry for leading you to such an inefficient maneuver.
  • Sorry Hai for getting you to pick up Davenport and his -1 yard performance. Of course, Pitt was in a passing shootout in a matchup of 2 teams better known for their pass defenses. Who knew? Also, Hai gave me his password to replace Vinatieri if he was injured. I rightfully did start Vinatieri but didn't go the extra step of replacing Branch with Ahman Green, upon seeing Hai was starting 3 WRs.
  • Apologies to Kevin for ragging on him to upgrade his QB position. He did just that and it promptly blew up in his face with Hasselbeck's knee injury.
  • I regret not telling Andrew to start Hines Ward. I have Ward in my other league and started him based on this major factor, which I should have told Andrew: Hines Ward is from Georgia, he grew up dirt poor with an Asian mom and stayed local in college. This was going to be his homecoming game.
  • Finally, apologies to Andrew, Donny, and PJ for the demise of their team's playoff hopes.

I may have to agree with Bill and add an apology to Hai for the death of the Cowboys' playoff hopes if they start Romo.

I never had the stiffies for Bledsoe. As you recall, I was calling Victor crazy for ranking him the #2 fantasy QB in the preseason.

Where's PJ been? I'm getting worried for his well-being since we haven't heard from him in the past 2 weeks.
