Current state of RB Starters for NFL teams

Here are the NFL teams who have questions at RB. In some cases, there probably won't be a running back by committee (RBBC), but the new guy has to beat the incumbent. A lot can change between now and the draft, as PJ can tell you.

Teams with potential RBBC or starter questions

  1. Arizona: Marcel Shipp and JJ Arrington
  2. Atlanta: Warrick Dunn and TJ Duckett
  3. Chicago: Thomas Jones and Cedric Benson
  4. Cleveland: Lee Suggs and Reuben Droughns
  5. Denver: No clear-cut starter yet. Tatum Bell is the favorite for now.
  6. Jacksonville: Fred Taylor is injured, may trade for Shaun Alexander
  7. Miami: Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams
  8. Minnesota: No clear-cut starter yet. Michael Bennett is the favorite for now.
  9. Pittsburgh: Duce Staley and Jerome Bettis
  10. Seattle: Up in the air if Shaun Alexander gets traded
  11. St. Louis: Marshall Faulk and Steven Jackson
  12. Tampa: Michael Pittman and Cadillac Williams
