If you watch any WWE wrestling, sometimes new wrestlers come in, get a warm welcome from the crowd and the big names. Lots of love being shown, until the steel chair comes out in the middle of a match and the new guy gets whacked with it. That is kinda like what happened to the three new owners in week one. You can also count the next newest owner Lily in this group. After some generous ratings and praises for their rosters, their teams get hit with a People's Elbow / Stone Cold Stunner / Power Slam / Pedigree by veteran teams in the bottom 4 of the draft rankings. Evil laughs abound, Muahahahaha!
Ok, here are Evil Vic's top 10 rankings for Week 2
1. Donny
The Good: The only team in the top 4 of draft rankings to win. And win big Donny did. With the Falcons looking like the 2012 version again, this team is going ride the Falcons through the season with the Ryan - to - Jones combo. They could be considered the league favorite unless injuries crop up.
The Evil: Next 3 opponents also won their week 1 games, so no cupcakes.
2. Kevin
The Good: Leveon Bell is for real, and Zach Ertz gets to face the Colts D who gave up 3 TDs to a TE last week. Andrew Luck gets a good matchup at home vs. the Eagles secondary, plus Demarius Thomas is due for a monster game since Peyton likes to spread the wealth.
The Evil: Not sure why Kevin hasn't dropped the Rams D yet. Also, has to root against his favorite RL team's defense this week.
3. Tuna
The Good; When Stafford is on, he's really on. Tuna just had bad luck facing Donny, he would have beaten any other team except for Kevin and that 0-1 record is misleading. Solid core of RBs, and Larry Fitzgerald may get a few more looks after his helicopter dad complained about his lack of targets on twitter.
The Evil: There are many better options than Kyle Rudolph and Chiefs Defense out there. Just sayin'
4. PJ
The Good: Keep those 1st and 11 coming, I think there is a correlation on submission frequency and PJ's W-L record. Surfing the Dolphin wave this season may actually be productive with Moreno and Wallace. Beast Mode still can carry a team to a win, and Welker may be coming back earlier.
The Evil: Three QBs is very hard to juggle to get right. Though only a diehard Dolphin fan would start Alex Smith over Tom Brady because Brady is playing the Dolphins that week.
5. Victor
The Good: Sleeper picks for RB and WRs seem promising. Got props from the CBS robo-recapper for starting Rashad Jennings. Nick Foles avoided a dud after the first half, and Bucs at home get a St. Louis team on its 3rd QB. Josh Gordon pickup a high-reward low-risk move.
The Evil: Megatron can't go for more than 25 points each week, need WR2 and RB2 to pick up the slack. New owners may be on to Evil Vic's sandbagging.
6. Lily
The Good: No injuries so far, Peyton still good for 20+ points. Michael Floyd looks to be a good find. Dallas, despite falling behind big still used Demarco Murray pretty well. Like Tuna, just had bad luck in week 1 with the scheduling gods.
The Evil: Michael Crabtree better get crackin'. Alfred Morris may not see many TD opportunities due to RG3yardpass. The RB bench, as one commenter said, is poop.
7. Hai
The Good: Last season, Hai was extremely lucky with his scheduling matchups, making the playoffs despite being like the 3rd worst team in points scored. This run of luck looks to continue after his week 1 victory. To Hai's credit, Kelvin Benjamin is inviting comparisons to a young Calvin Johnson.
The Evil: Hai would have lost to all but 2 teams last week. Alshon Jeffery is banged up, and Vincent Jackson also had a slow start. Next 3 games are against tough Asian Division rivals.
Yes, you may have now noticed that the 3 new owners are ranked in the bottom of the rankings this week. Gotta earn your stripes, newbies.
8. Matt
The Good: Aaron Rodgers won't have too many single-digit games going forward. Baltimore loves rejuvenating old WRs (see: Boldin, Derrick Mason) so Steve Smith's week one is not a fluke. Arizona uses Arrington like Jamaal Charles according to their GM. And Mark Ingram may have been a good sleeper pick.
The Evil: RB2 will be problematic for efficiency purposes. Squandered a 3-TD performance by Julius Thomas due to lack of RB/WR scoring. Why oh why is Matt carrying 2 kickers?
9. Justin
The Good: Andy Reid acknowledges he has to use Jamaal Charles more. That 2-point performance was fluky. Foster silenced doubters coming back from injury. 49ers are now more of a passing team this year.
The Evil: Victor Cruz with 2 points was not fluky. I had him last year and he sucked. I still don't quite yet trust Justin's bench asides from Golden Tate.
10. Vu
The Good: Decent bench for Vu, his WRs came to play last week. Drew Brees will also outperform week 1's loss. I also expect Cardinals DST to come closer to projected scoring.
The Evil: RBs had a bad week, and main RB Lacy now at high risk for being out if he gets another concussion. Again, what's with the extra kicker?
