Interesting new development in Denver

Rookie Mike Bell may get the #1 running back job. It's not the first time Mike Shanahan would be starting a rookie (see Davis, Portis) over veterans. This will impact tomorrow's mock draft, I think. Kevin has gone on record that he won't be picking a Denver player, it may be smoke and mirrors. If that is true and Katy doesn't pick a denver running back either, chances are good that Bill or me will be getting him. Also, even if Mike Bell doesn't hold on to the #1 spot, this means Shanahan is feeling good about depth at this position and most likely won't trade for Chris Brown or TJ Duckett.

For the mock draft; Kevin will not be taking Mike Bell in the first round. It's personal I don't like Denver's RBs.

Shannahan is trying to light a fire under his other RBs. For Dayne it will need to be a big fire.
